DEMONS AND GATES
The common scourge of the World. Demons usually come in two types: Domestic and Foreign. The former belongs to the physical realm like all the other Mystic Kind and the humans. Yet, they are hated for their many gruesome traits and all ills associated with them. These are called "daemons". The latter is even more so as they actively invade the world as they come from unknown routes and dimensions of the Spiritual Realm. Their invasions tends to veer between an organized pack to a chaotic mob rushing into cities. It becomes disturbing that these Foreign demons reside in infernal realms of the Spiritual World where their homes are easily influenced by the ill-wills and grudges of the Physical Realm. It is because of this that they have been dubbed as "Horrors". Such influences consequently warped these entities into the Foreign demons we know today.
And perhaps that is what is drawing them to the realm of the humans and the Mystic Kind, as they sought for food out of humans and the Mystic Kind which is scarce in their hellish homes. That said, these are the common ones of the Demon Outbreaks and they enter the physical world through Gates, an inanimate phenomenon that serves as a portal between this world and the spiritual realm that is only available to them. Humanity and the Mystic Kind must work together to quell this threat if they are to survive. Especially when there is an increasing frequency of organized invasions through some forms of leadership, suggesting that there are stronger demons that have achieved a form of sentience. Therefore, there seems to be a chain of command somewhere which has yet to be fully understood. But information is restricted to the highest seats of each faction, making it difficult to get any light on the demons.
Interestingly enough, some Horrors bring along some powerful relics from their nether-worlds and give off an unique supernatural residue on the physical plane. As such, these are the object of much interest in research and for the accumulation of power. Other than fulfilling Humanity's needs to quell demons, it does provide much incentive for many factions to deal with them. But this incentive could lead a few leaders astray for the "rewards" it could offer.

HOW THEY ARE BEING SEEN
They are commonly feared and hated by all of humanity and the Mystic Kind. It is to no surprise that all factions bear caution and even suspicion of these Horrors.
- I.A.C.S.B.: The organization will hunt down Demons attacking the city folk, but they are very open to learning more about the Horrors. However, there has been no recorded instance of any Horror cooperating with the I.A.C.S.B. It hints that most Horrors are rabid creatures, while the more intelligent ones tend to be more difficult to keep as they bear the most risk for catastrophic consequences.
- The Church: It is no surprise that the Faith is indiscriminate in the elimination of Horrors. Many will not stop to think about the purposes of these creatures other than being vile abominations that must be purged. While some may try to interrogate them, most times have led to failure. However, as of late, some of the Inquisition and the Judas' Order has been devoting themselves to better understand these monstrosities.
- The Magician's Guild: The Guild has made it clear that demon summoning is outlawed in their community, something that is dutifully enforced by their agents. It is of no surprise that they also do not look well upon the Horrors. But they usually aim to detain any surviving Horrors. However, they could not divine much as many of their detainees are not very capable of speech. But they could study their physical make-up. Needless to say, they do try to get their hands upon demon relics and residue as much as possible.
- Martial Forest Coalition: They have a similar stance to Horrors just like most of the Church, advocating for their utter elimination. Due to their close relationship with the Magician's Guild, they do send whatever they find to them as most do not have much of an interest learning anything about demons. Other than exercising some muscle and give a reason why the Coalition exists.
